History

The Grains for Health Foundation was officially founded in 2009, while groundwork for the foundation was being laid for years previous. September | Grains for Health Foundation launches Annual Research Preview, Minneapolis, MN.

September | The Future of Grains in Schools Task Force created and composed of volunteers in all fields from geneticists to school foodservice directors, Minneapolis, MN.

October | Grains for Health Foundation hosts breakfast at the American Association of Cereal Chemist’s International Annual Meeting, Savannah, GA.

2009
January | Grains For Health Foundation is founded by Dr. Len Marquart and the initial Board of Directors with support from the American Association of Cereal Chemists International, Minneapolis, MN.

August | Grains for Health Foundation research impacts school nutrition standards, School Meals Building Blocks for Healthy Children.

September | Grains for Health Foundation organizes events at the American Association of Cereal Chemist’s International Annual Meeting, Baltimore, MD.
